While explosives do not exist in the age of Rhand, explosions can be caused by various natural or magical forces such as lightning or an Explode Object spell.

To judge the damage potential of an explosion it must first be rated on a Scale of 1 to 10 (higher values may be extrapolated at the referee's discretion).

The table below gives the effects and damage in Physical Damage (PD) points versus Scale of explo- sion and the range from the blast.

Those taking more than 5 PD before armor adjustments are totally deafened for 6 phases.

Those taking more than 20 PD (after adjustments) are stunned for PD/20 phases (as in a Stun spell).

If an explosion is used to force a door or wall, the PD is the attack force applied.
