During combat, the player must keep a running total of the Physical Damage (PD) points taken. This total determines the Damage Total (DT), which measures the se- verity of injuries. The greater the DT, the more severe the injury, and the greater the chance of death. The DT is: DT = (Ten times the Total PD) / (HLT characteristic) Example: Derek received four wounds ofPD 3, 5, 6, and 2. Derek's HLT = 9 so: DT= lOx (3+5+6+2)/9= 160/9= 17.8= 18 07.02-the_basis_for_recovery.txt
